#Art popular discografia completa update
Since 2004 Philip Stuart has continued to update the discography with new sessions, and to revise and add details as new information comes to light. The discography contains details of every recording session the LSO has undertaken – where, when, who and what from core classical works to pop crossovers, films sessions to video games – along with the details of subsequent releases and reissues, and is a document that charts the history of recorded classical music from the infancy of the technology to the present day.

Too bad they felt compelled to give us only 11 or 12 songs per disc. I do enjoy the more acoustic feel of the US Rubber Soul. Was Capitol bowing to the “bigger than Jesus hysteria”? The US version has 3 Lennon songs missing and it sounds more like a McCartney album. The UK version has 5 sung by John, 5 by Paul, 3 by George and Ringo’s 1 vocal. Once they saw what they had they made sure that they played it for all it was worth. After all, Capitol was almost forced to release their records by the parent company, EMI.

I guess you have to take the US releases for what they were and enjoy them on that level. I built my collection with the US releases and eventually acquired the UK releases(LP’s and EP’s). The first album I bought was Introducing The Beatles on Vee-Jay. I was 11 in 1975 when I was introduced to their music. I was late getting to the party that was The Beatle years.
